We will, as our pupils are growing and learning with us, care for, support and safeguard them whilst striving to encourage them to be responsible citizens and do the same for each other and their wider community.
We will strive to ignite our pupils’ desire and enthusiasm to learn without limits.
We will aim to encourage our pupils and school community to develop academically and socially which will develop their desire to explore the wider world, skilled and equipped to find out even more.
We will foster belief through believing in yourself, taking on challenges and digging deep within yourself to conquer fears.
At Parkroyal learning a foreign language is considered a very important part of children's education because it broadens pupils’ horizons and provides an opening to other cultures, as well as equipping them with the necessary skills for the 21st century. Mme Murphy is our specialist language teacher. Children in all year groups learn French.
Our language curriculum aims to foster pupils’ curiosity and deepen their understanding of people and cultures from around the world. Our curriculum celebrates differences and similarities between people and places, thus developing children’s empathy skills and supporting them to become global citizens.
Children will develop their ability and confidence to understand and respond to others in French and to express their ideas and thoughts orally and in writing. Their learning provides them with a foundation to enjoy and succeed in learning languages at Key Stage 3 and for life.
Our curriculum is designed to:
