The children will be expected and encouraged to complete a 6 Ways to Be Smart task, twice a year, appropriate to their topics and age, at home with families and to bring in when completed.
We celebrate the pupils work through various different approaches including: displaying them in classrooms and around school, in whole school or phase assemblies and through showcase afternoons or evenings.
These showcases enable pupils to share and discuss their work with each other and for pupils to share their work with parents and carers.
A set of tasks linked to all subject areas is planned for, from which at least one should be completed and returned. The children can choose whichever task they would like from the list of tasks set. These will encompass the range of the curriculum subjects.
This allows children to enhance independence, take ownership of their learning and work collaboratively with parents/carers at home.
You will find the '6 Ways To Be Smart' in the PUPILS section of the website.
Below are some examples of the amazing work completed and shared by pupils.
