The children will be expected and encouraged to complete a 6 Ways to Be Smart task, twice a year, appropriate to their topics and age, at home with families and to bring in when completed. We celebrate the pupils work through various different approaches including a pupil voice afternoon, photographs, celebration assemblies, phase assemblies, on display in areas around school and open afternoons for parents and carers.
A set of tasks linked to all subject areas will be planned for, from which at least two should be completed by children each term and returned. The children can choose whichever task they would like from the list of tasks set. These will encompass the range of the curriculum subjects.
This allows children to enhance independence, learning skills and opportunities to learn with family members, as well as take ownership of their learning.
