We will, as our pupils are growing and learning with us, care for, support and safeguard them whilst striving to encourage them to be responsible citizens and do the same for each other and their wider community.
We will strive to ignite our pupils’ desire and enthusiasm to learn without limits.
We will aim to encourage our pupils and school community to develop academically and socially which will develop their desire to explore the wider world, skilled and equipped to find out even more.
We will foster belief through believing in yourself, taking on challenges and digging deep within yourself to conquer fears.
The school prides itself on its very active House System whereby all staff and pupils are assigned to one of four houses. The house names were chosen by our pupils - they wanted to use our Motto and created another one ‘Believe’ which we then added to our motto.
Each house has adopted an animal from the World Wildlife Fund. We are in the process of learning about these animals and raising funds to support the preservation and protection of these important animals. The head of houses are being encouraged to lead this with the pupils in school.
They comprise of:
Nurture House - Hawksbill Sea Turtle
Inspire House - Amur leopard
Flourish House - Orangutan
Believe House - Penguin
At Parkroyal we celebrate the successes of all our pupils who strive to achieve their best in all aspects of their life in school. The House System gives our pupils this opportunity to be rewarded for efforts and achievement in all areas. Pupils regularly earn house points for excellent work but the primary aim is to encourage all pupils to get involved in the many activities within subjects and extra-curricular activities. Each house has two house captains, who have been voted for by their fellow pupils. Pupils are involved in running the termly house meetings thus promoting pupil leadership and responsibility.
