Oracy Champions

“Oracy is the ability to articulate ideas, develop understanding and engage with others through spoken language.” - Voice 21

Oracy is planned opportunities to encourage high-quality talk within the classroom. Positive impacts include:

• Make children more aware of their audiences

• Improve standards of conversations with peers and adults

• Increase active listening

• Increase confidence and well-being of pupils

• Support the increase of academic success for all pupils

Each class throughout school has selected a representative who champion Oracy during focused games/discussions.
