We have a large number of pupils from across Year 6 who work alongside Mr Utteridge and Mss Dolton in the leading, organising and officiating of sport and activity across school.
The crew is led by our highly motivated School Games Makers. Meet them below:
Our purpose:
To make a positive contribution to the development of sport and activity across school
To support the PE lead in improving the provision of sport and physical activity
To lead, organise and officiate events at different levels across the school and beyond
To represent the school in a range of sporting competitions
What we'll being doing in 2023/24:
- The School Games Makers have designed a playground buddy system for our Year 6 pupils. This will focus on increasing the activity levels of our reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils and engaging/teaching our younger pupils a range of games and activities that they can play with their peers.
- The School Games Makers will support the PE lead in achieving the School Games Mark by carrying out responsibilities and delivering initiatives in line with the criteria.
- The School Games Leaders will lead and officiate during PE lessons across their own and different Year groups.
- They will assemble a Sports Crew to help plan, organise and deliver school sports events; including school games days, unique sports days, events- like the jingle bell jog and personal challenges (skipping)
