Headteacher Welcome
Parkroyal Community School is a vibrant, fun, busy school in the heart of Macclesfield with a warm and caring community. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure they are happy, confident and that the opportunities provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
At our school, we establish strong partnerships with our teachers, support staff, pupils, parents and carers, governing board and our local community to deliver the very best education for all of our pupils. We provide many learning opportunities for our pupils to enrich and create as many memorable experiences as we possibly can that lead our pupils to develop healthier lifestyles both physically and mentally.
Our school motto is to:
Nurture, Inspire, Flourish, Believe
Nurture: We will, as our pupils are growing and learning with us, care for, support and safeguard them whilst striving to encourage them to be responsible citizens and do the same for each other and their wider community.
Inspire: We will strive to ignite our pupils’ desire and enthusiasm to learn without limits.
Flourish: We will aim to encourage our pupils and school community to develop academically and socially which will develop their desire to explore the wider world, skilled and equipped to find out even more.
Believe:We will encourage children to develop self belief in their own achievements both personally and academically.
I love the fact that no two days are the same in Parkroyal! The joy we get from the laughter, excitement and hard work from everyone is due to the dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do. Last year was full of exciting and fun experiences for our pupils and a lot of memories were made.
Our key priorities this year are to continue to develop the teaching and learning of mathematics, develop reading throughout school including continuity of reading lessons, and continue to further develop our SEN provions. Parkroyal Community School understands that the effective use of feedback can have a powerful influence on pupils’ learning and progression and with that in mind we have a new feedback policy this year. We believe feedback should provide constructive advice to every child, focusing on success and improvement in relation to learning intentions and outcomes. Feedback enables children to become reflective learners and helps them to close the gap between current and desired performance. Additionally, we will be continuing to embed our curriculum this year and subject coordinators will be working alongside the Aspire Educational Trust to further refine and develop the work carried out last year.
We really hope this website gives you as much information as possible. It will grow over time as we add more information and the teachers and pupils add to it too however, it can never replace the first hand experience of coming to visit us. We are committed to improvement and welcome suggestions and ideas about its content.
